fault, lies, and faultlines
few musical genres are as homophobic as hip-hop, but that hasn't stopped a dedicated underground from springing up. after all, this is a style about attitude, and who has more attitude than our community?
katastrophe transgendered hip-hopper and poet rocco kayiatos works to bridge those gaps on fault, lies, and faultlines. the music is funky and thick as syrup, kind of like prince when he was good.
the lyrics take katastrophe off the beaten path excursions into drugs, dependency, relationships, and conflict, along with explorations of katastrophe's slippery place in society. after all, not many rappers (or artists, for that matter) not only could create a song titled "fake meat," but also could make it a standout track.
